Prizegiving

Marni won the academic award at the end of Term One awards assembly.
She has made every good progress in all areas and tries hard.
She has caught up a lot this year in her reading and mathematics.
She has progressed 4 levels in reading ( Mrs Bennett)

Flax Rock

I can go right up to the top of the wall at Flax Rock.
It was cool fun. ( Marni)
I encouraged Marni to keep going.I cheered her on with the other children.
I also took photos of her achievements. ( Mrs Bennett)

Comic Life

with Leah Mar 2013



Leah and I did a comic life on other people in the classroom.
I took pictures of Mrs Bennett and Tamara and Anahera and my brother Ethan.
He is nice to me.
Leah is a good buddy. I like her.
I am going to do another comic life with her soon ( Marni)
I did not support them much as Leah knew how to make a comic life.
I was there for the questions that they asked and I helped them to print it (Mrs Bennett)

Tuakana-teina on ipads 13/3/13

I am working with Sante on the ipad.
She is not my buddy but Leah was away and I like Sante.
We are doing a Maths app together.
Sante is showing me how to add hard numbers ( Marni)
I did not need to assist here. I just gave praise and reinforcement. ( Mrs Bennett)

Tuakana-teina- Book Creator 22/3/13

I am doing a Book Creator on the ipad with Moira.
We called it 'The Picnic.'
We had fun making it.
I put the pictures in and spoke some of the words. Moira helped type it.
I want to make another one with Moira soon( Marni)
They both needed help with the typing and I showed them how to turn the pages the first two times.
They worked well together and tried to do it together first with trial and error before they asked for help (Mrs Bennett)

My Goals for 2013

I want to learn to swim really fast.

The Bike Track

I can ride a bike well now.
I am better than my brothers.
I like to go on the bike track. I am learning to go on the pump track ( Marni)
By providing Marni with lots of opportunities and encouragement
she can now go around the pump track confidently ( Mrs Bennett)

Swimming

I am getting good at swimming now.
I can go right across the pool.
I can just about go to the bottom of the pool ( Marni)
Marni's confidence and skill level have improved a lot this swimming season.
I encouraged her and gave her tuition.
I videoed her and played it back to her so she could see the progress she was making.
She can now go to the bottom of the pool and also go right across the pool. ( Mrs Bennett)

Hello my name is Marni. I am 6 years old.
I have 3 brothers and I now go to Riverslea School.
I used to go to Glenholme school in Auckland.
I like being at Riverslea school as everyone is very nice to me.
